Vetoryl® (trilostane) is a prescription adrenal hormone–regulating medication used to treat Cushing’s disease (hyperadrenocorticism) in dogs. As the only FDA-approved treatment for both pituitary-dependent and adrenal-dependent Cushing’s, Vetoryl helps reduce excessive cortisol production, restoring healthy hormonal balance and improving overall well-being in affected dogs.

• Indication (Dogs): Used to manage Cushing’s disease by lowering cortisol production; helps improve symptoms such as increased thirst/urination, excessive panting, skin changes, hair loss, and weight gain

• Indication (Other Species): Not approved for use in other species; off-label use only if directed by a veterinarian

• Feline Safety: Not typically used in cats; administer only if specifically prescribed and monitor closely

• Use Only Under Vet Supervision: Requires routine ACTH stimulation testing and monitoring of electrolytes; do not adjust dosage without veterinary direction

• Contraindications/Cautions:

  • Do not use in pregnant dogs
