Sodium Chloride 0.9% is a sterile, nonpyrogenic, isotonic solution packaged in a single-dose plastic container for use as a sterile irrigating solution. It is designed for cleansing tissue surfaces during procedures and must not be used for injection.

• Feline Safety: Safe when used only for irrigation purposes and under veterinary supervision; not for injection.

• Use Only Under Vet Supervision: Not for injection. Some irrigating solution may be absorbed into circulation, requiring caution in patients with congestive heart failure, severe renal insufficiency, or sodium retention.

• Contraindications/Cautions: Do not use if solution is discolored, cloudy, or if seal is broken. Use immediately after opening; discard any unused portion as no preservative is added. Use with caution in patients on corticosteroids or corticotropin therapy.

• Storage: Store at controlled room temperature; do not exceed 113°F (45°C) when warming prior to use.

• Regulatory: Prescription required; federal law restricts this drug to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian.
