Rebalance® (sulfadiazine and pyrimethamine) is a veterinary prescription antiprotozoal oral suspension used in horses. It is FDA-approved for the treatment of equine protozoal myeloencephalitis (EPM) caused by Sarcocystis neurona. Rebalance® works by inhibiting protozoal reproduction, helping reduce neurological signs such as incoordination, weakness, and abnormal gaits associated with EPM.
