Novox (Carprofen) is a veterinary-prescribed NSAID for dogs used to manage arthritis pain, joint inflammation, osteoarthritis, and postoperative pain. By reducing prostaglandin production, Novox helps relieve stiffness and swelling so dogs can regain mobility and comfort.

Cautions & Warnings
Federal law restricts this drug to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian.
As with all NSAIDs for dogs, Novox may cause gastrointestinal, kidney, or liver side effects, especially in pets with pre-existing conditions.
Do not use in cats, dogs with known NSAID hypersensitivity, or pets with bleeding disorders.
Not recommended for puppies under 6 weeks of age, or for pregnant, breeding, or lactating dogs.
Avoid combining with other NSAIDs or corticosteroids to reduce the risk of complications.
Possible side effects include vomiting, diarrhea, appetite loss, blood in stool, changes in urination, or lethargy. Contact your veterinarian immediately if severe symptoms occur.
Keep out of reach of children. Not for human use.

Directions & Dosage
Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration consistent with the dog’s response.
Standard dosage:

• 2 mg/lb (4.4 mg/kg) once daily OR

• 1 mg/lb (2.2 mg/kg) twice daily.
  For postoperative pain, give approximately 2 hours before surgery.
  Chewable tablets are scored for flexible dosing.
  Store at 15°-30°C (59°-86°F) in a tightly closed container.
