Rx Mometamax® Otic Suspension – 15 gm Bottle

Mometamax® Otic Suspension is prescribed for the treatment of inflammation and bacterial infections associated with canine otitis externa (ear infections). This powerful triple-combination formula provides antibacterial, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory effects to relieve ear infections in dogs.

Active Ingredients (per gram):

• Gentamicin sulfate (USP) – equivalent to 3 mg gentamicin base

• Mometasone furoate monohydrate – equivalent to 1 mg mometasone

• Clotrimazole (USP) – 10 mg

Dosing & Administration:

• Clean and dry the external ear canal thoroughly before treatment.

• Dogs under 30 lbs: Instill 4 drops once daily into the ear canal.

• Dogs 30 lbs or more: Instill 8 drops once daily into the ear canal.

• Therapy should continue for 7 consecutive days.

• Do not exceed recommended duration; prolonged use may delay wound healing.

Storage & Handling:

• Store at 36°–77°F (2°–25°C).

• Verify the eardrum is intact before use.

Cautions/Warnings:

• Discontinue if hypersensitivity to components occurs.

• Do not use with drugs known to cause ototoxicity.

• Do not use in dogs with perforated eardrums.

• Use in pregnant dogs is not recommended.

• Use has been associated with temporary hearing loss or deafness in sensitive dogs.

• If hearing or vestibular dysfunction occurs, stop use immediately and flush the ear canal with a non-toxic solution.
