Interceptor Plus is a prescription broad-spectrum parasite preventive for dogs. It combines milbemycin oxime and praziquantel in a tasty chicken-flavored chew that provides monthly protection against heartworm disease and treats and controls tapeworms, roundworms, hookworms, and whipworms. Designed for dogs weighing 8.1–25 lbs., Interceptor Plus makes year-round parasite control both effective and convenient.

• Indication (Dogs):

  • Heartworm Prevention: Prevents Dirofilaria immitis infection when administered monthly.

  • Intestinal Parasites: Treats and controls tapeworms, roundworms, hookworms, and whipworms.

• Age/Weight Requirements: For dogs and puppies at least 6 weeks old and weighing 2 lbs. or more.

• Use Only Under Vet Supervision: Prescription required. Dogs should be tested for existing heartworm infections prior to starting therapy. If a dose is missed, follow veterinary guidance for re-dosing and testing.

• Contraindications/Cautions: Not for puppies under 6 weeks or dogs under 2 lbs. Safety not established for breeding or lactating dogs. Use with caution in dogs carrying high numbers of microfilariae, as hypersensitivity reactions (labored breathing, vomiting, lethargy, hypersalivation) may occur.

• Possible Side Effects: Generally well tolerated. Rare effects include vomiting, diarrhea, or mild lethargy.

• Storage: Store at 59–77°F (15–25°C). Keep in original packaging until use; protect from moisture.
