Interceptor Plus is a prescription broad-spectrum parasite preventive for dogs. It combines milbemycin oxime and praziquantel in a chicken-flavored chewable tablet, offering monthly protection against heartworm disease and treatment and control of tapeworms, roundworms, hookworms, and whipworms. Formulated for dogs weighing 8.1–25 lbs., this chew makes parasite prevention simple and reliable.

• Indication (Dogs):

  • Heartworm Prevention: Prevents infection by Dirofilaria immitis when given monthly.

• Age/Weight Requirements: For dogs and puppies at least 6 weeks old and weighing 2 lbs. or more.

• Use Only Under Vet Supervision: Requires a valid prescription. Dogs should be tested for existing heartworm infections before starting therapy. Missed doses should be addressed under veterinary guidance.

• Contraindications/Cautions: Not for puppies under 6 weeks or dogs under 2 lbs. Safety not established for breeding or lactating females. Hypersensitivity reactions (labored breathing, vomiting, lethargy, hypersalivation) may occur in dogs carrying high microfilariae counts.
