Interceptor Plus is a prescription broad-spectrum parasite preventive for dogs, combining milbemycin oxime and praziquantel in a tasty monthly chew. It provides comprehensive protection by preventing heartworm disease and treating and controlling tapeworms, roundworms, hookworms, and whipworms. Each chew is chicken-flavored, making monthly dosing simple and enjoyable for most dogs.

• Indication (Dogs):

  • Heartworm Prevention: Protects against Dirofilaria immitis when administered monthly.

  • Intestinal Parasites: Treats and controls tapeworms, roundworms, hookworms, and whipworms.

• Age/Weight Requirements: For dogs and puppies at least 6 weeks old and weighing 2 lbs. or more.

• Use Only Under Vet Supervision: A valid prescription is required. Dogs should be tested for existing heartworm infections before starting therapy. If doses are missed, consult your veterinarian regarding re-dosing and possible testing.

• Contraindications/Cautions: Not for puppies under 6 weeks or dogs under 2 lbs. Safety not established for breeding or lactating dogs. Use with caution in dogs carrying high numbers of microfilariae, as mild hypersensitivity reactions may occur.
