Interceptor Plus is a prescription broad-spectrum parasite preventive for dogs, combining milbemycin oxime and praziquantel in a chicken-flavored chewable tablet. It provides monthly protection against heartworm disease and treats and controls tapeworms, roundworms, hookworms, and whipworms. Designed for dogs weighing 25.1–50 lbs., this chew makes parasite prevention simple and effective.

• Indication (Dogs):

  • Heartworm Prevention: Protects against Dirofilaria immitis when given monthly.

• Age/Weight Requirements: For dogs at least 6 weeks of age and weighing 2 lbs. or more.

• Use Only Under Vet Supervision: A prescription from a licensed veterinarian is required. Dogs should be tested for existing heartworm infection before starting treatment. If a dose is missed, follow veterinary guidance on re-dosing and possible testing.

• Contraindications/Cautions: Do not use in puppies under 6 weeks of age or dogs under 2 lbs. Safety not established for breeding or lactating females. In rare cases, dogs with high microfilariae counts may experience hypersensitivity reactions (vomiting, lethargy, hypersalivation, labored breathing).
