Interceptor Flavor Tabs are a prescription broad-spectrum heartworm preventive and dewormer for dogs and cats. Formulated with milbemycin oxime, these palatable chewable tablets prevent heartworm disease and control common intestinal parasites. Interceptor provides monthly dual protection for both dogs and cats in one trusted product.

• Strength & Count: 6 tablets; for dogs 51–100 lbs. and cats 12.1–25 lbs.

• Class: Antiparasitic (heartworm preventive + dewormer).

• Indication (Dogs):

  • Heartworm Prevention: Prevents infection by Dirofilaria immitis.

  • Intestinal Parasites: Controls adult hookworms (Ancylostoma caninum), removes and controls roundworms (Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina), and whipworms (Trichuris vulpis).

• Indication (Cats):

  • Heartworm Prevention: Prevents infection by Dirofilaria immitis.

  • Intestinal Parasites: Removes adult hookworms (Ancylostoma tubaeforme) and roundworms (Toxocara cati).

• Age/Weight Requirements:

  • Dogs: ≥4 weeks of age and ≥2 lbs.

  • Cats: ≥6 weeks of age and ≥1.5 lbs.

• Use Only Under Vet Supervision: Prescription required. Dogs should be tested for existing heartworm infection before starting treatment. If a dose is missed, give as soon as possible and resume monthly schedule.

• Contraindications/Cautions: Do not use in dogs <4 weeks or <2 lbs., or cats <6 weeks or <1.5 lbs. Hypersensitivity reactions (vomiting, lethargy, labored breathing, salivation) may occur in dogs with high microfilariae counts.

• Possible Side Effects: Reported reactions include lethargy, vomiting, ataxia, anorexia, diarrhea, convulsions, weakness, and hypersalivation.

• Storage: Store at 59–77°F (15–30°C). Keep in original packaging until use.

• Regulatory: Prescription required; federal law restricts this drug to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian.
