Interceptor Flavor Tabs are a prescription broad-spectrum heartworm preventive and dewormer for dogs and cats. Formulated with milbemycin oxime, these flavored chewable tablets prevent heartworm disease and control multiple intestinal parasites. Safe and effective for both dogs and cats, Interceptor provides convenient monthly protection in a palatable chewable form.

• Strength & Count: 6 tablets; for dogs 26–50 lbs. and cats 6.1–12 lbs.

• Class: Antiparasitic (heartworm preventive + dewormer).

• Indication (Dogs):

  • Heartworm Prevention: Prevents Dirofilaria immitis infection.

  • Intestinal Parasites: Controls adult hookworms (Ancylostoma caninum), removes and controls roundworms (Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina), and whipworms (Trichuris vulpis).

• Indication (Cats):

  • Heartworm Prevention: Prevents Dirofilaria immitis infection.

  • Intestinal Parasites: Removes adult hookworms (Ancylostoma tubaeforme) and roundworms (Toxocara cati).

• Age/Weight Requirements:

  • Dogs: ≥4 weeks of age and ≥2 lbs.

  • Cats: ≥6 weeks of age and ≥1.5 lbs.

• Use Only Under Vet Supervision: Prescription required. Dogs should be tested for existing heartworm infection before starting treatment. If a dose is missed, administer as soon as possible and resume monthly dosing.

• Contraindications/Cautions: Do not use in dogs <4 weeks or <2 lbs. or in cats <6 weeks or <1.5 lbs. Hypersensitivity reactions may occur in dogs with high microfilariae counts (labored breathing, vomiting, salivation, lethargy).

• Possible Side Effects: Reported reactions include lethargy, vomiting, ataxia, anorexia, diarrhea, convulsions, weakness, and hypersalivation.

• Storage: Store at 59–77°F (15–30°C). Keep in original packaging until use.

• Regulatory: Prescription required; federal law restricts this drug to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian.
