Hydroxyzine Hydrochloride is a prescription antihistamine and anxiolytic medication for dogs and cats. It is used for the symptomatic relief of anxiety and tension associated with psychoneurosis and as an adjunct treatment in organic disease states where anxiety is present. Additionally, it helps manage pruritus (itching) caused by allergic conditions such as chronic urticaria, atopic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, and other histamine-mediated allergic reactions.
