GastroGard® (omeprazole) is a veterinary prescription proton pump inhibitor (PPI) indicated for the treatment and prevention of gastric ulcers in horses. FDA-approved, it works by suppressing stomach acid production, allowing ulcers to heal and reducing the risk of recurrence. GastroGard® paste is administered orally and is the gold standard for managing Equine Gastric Ulcer Syndrome (EGUS).
