BANAMINE® Paste (flunixin meglumine) is a prescription non-narcotic, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) indicated for the alleviation of inflammation and pain associated with musculoskeletal disorders in horses. It also provides antipyretic activity.

• Dosage:

  • Recommended dose is 0.5 mg per lb. of body weight once daily.

  • Each 250-lb increment delivers 125 mg of flunixin.

  • One syringe treats a 1,000-lb horse once daily for 3 days, or three 1,000-lb horses one time.

  • Do not exceed 5 consecutive days of treatment.

  • Administer orally by placing paste on the back of the tongue.

• Storage: Store between 2°–30°C (36°–86°F).

• Regulatory: Prescription required; federal law restricts this drug to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian.
