Apoquel is a prescription medication for dogs that delivers fast-acting relief from itching (pruritus) and inflammation caused by flea allergies, food allergies, contact dermatitis, and atopic dermatitis. It starts working in about 4 hours and helps control itching within 24 hours, and it can be used short- or long-term alongside other therapies as directed by your veterinarian.

• Strength & Count: 3.6 mg; 30 tablets.

• Class: Selective JAK inhibitor (oclacitinib).

• Indication (Dogs): Relief of itching and inflammation associated with allergic dermatitis; control of atopic dermatitis.

• Use Only Under Vet Supervision: For dogs over 12 months and >6.6 lbs; may be given with or without food; can be used with NSAIDs, parasiticides, antibiotics, vaccines, and allergen‑specific immunotherapy.

• Cautions: Not for breeding, pregnant, or lactating dogs. Do not use in dogs with serious infections. Possible side effects include diarrhea, vomiting, anorexia, lethargy, or new skin lumps. Wash hands after handling; keep out of reach of children and pets.

• Storage: Store at 68–77°F (20–25°C); excursions 59–104°F (15–40°C) permitted.

• Regulatory: Prescription required; federal law restricts this drug to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian.

Directions:
Initial dosing is twice daily for up to 14 days based on body weight; then once daily for maintenance (follow veterinarian’s instructions and package insert dosing chart). Do not double a missed dose.
