Rx Apoquel 3.6mg x 100 Tablets – Fast-Acting Relief for Dog Itching & Skin Allergies
Apoquel is a fast-acting dog allergy medication that targets the source of itching (pruritus) to provide relief within 4 hours and effectively control symptoms within 24 hours. It works against itching caused by food allergies, flea allergies, contact dermatitis, and atopic dermatitis, allowing your dog comfort while your veterinarian determines the underlying cause. Apoquel can be used short-term for quick relief or long-term to reduce itching and inflammation, and it can be given alongside NSAIDs, parasiticides, antibiotics, vaccines, and allergen-specific immunotherapy.
How Apoquel Works:
Apoquel is a selective Janus kinase (JAK) inhibitor that blocks itch-causing cytokines in the nervous system, stopping the itch at its source. Unlike steroids, cyclosporines, or antihistamines, Apoquel specifically targets the key itch signals with minimal impact on immune function.
Key Benefits:
-
Rapid Relief: Stops itching in as little as 4 hours.
-
Extended Comfort: Controls symptoms within 24 hours and maintains relief long-term.
-
Allergy Support: Effective for multiple allergy-related skin issues.
-
Safe with Other Treatments: Can be used with a wide range of medications.
-
Targeted Therapy: Focuses on the source of itching with minimal immune suppression.
