Amoxicillin is a broad-spectrum penicillin antibiotic used in dogs and cats to treat various bacterial infections caused by susceptible strains of bacteria. It is effective for ear infections, urinary tract infections, skin infections, upper respiratory infections, bladder infections, and certain dental infections.
