Naxcel® Sterile Powder (ceftiofur sodium) is a broad-spectrum cephalosporin antibiotic indicated for the treatment of respiratory diseases and bacterial infections in multiple species. This veterinary prescription is effective against a wide range of pathogens in cattle, swine, sheep, goats, horses, dogs, day-old chicks, and day-old turkey poults.

• Cattle: Treats bovine respiratory disease (shipping fever, pneumonia) and acute bovine interdigital necrobacillosis (foot rot).

• Swine: Controls bacterial respiratory disease (swine pneumonia) caused by Pasteurella multocida, Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Salmonella choleraesuis, and Streptococcus suis.

• Sheep & Goats: Treats respiratory disease (pneumonia) caused by Mannheimia haemolytica and Pasteurella multocida.

• Horses: Effective for respiratory infections associated with Streptococcus zooepidemicus.

• Dogs: Indicated for urinary tract infections caused by E. coli and Proteus mirabilis.
