Iverhart Plus is a pork-flavored chewable heartworm preventative for dogs. It combines ivermectin and pyrantel pamoate to protect against heartworm disease and to treat and control roundworm and hookworm infections. Safe for use in dogs as young as 6 weeks and in pregnant or breeding females, Iverhart Plus offers broad-spectrum parasite protection in a tasty chewable dogs readily accept.

• Strength & Count: 272 mcg ivermectin / 227 mg pyrantel; 6 chewable tablets (6-month supply).

• Class: Antiparasitic (heartworm preventive + intestinal dewormer).

• Indication (Dogs):

  • Heartworm Prevention: Prevents infection by Dirofilaria immitis (not effective against adult heartworms).

  • Intestinal Parasites: Treats and controls Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina (roundworms), and Ancylostoma caninum, Uncinaria stenocephala, Ancylostoma braziliense (hookworms).

• Age/Weight Requirements: For dogs 51–100 lbs. and at least 6 weeks of age. Dogs over 100 lbs. should be given an appropriate combination of chewables.

• Flavor: Palatable pork-flavored chewable to encourage acceptance.

• Use Only Under Vet Supervision: All dogs should be tested for existing heartworm infections prior to starting. Not effective against adult D. immitis. Infected dogs must be treated before use.

• Contraindications/Cautions:

  • Not intended for cats or other species.

  • Mild hypersensitivity reactions (vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy) may occur in dogs with circulating microfilariae.

• Storage: Store at 68–77°F (20–25°C), excursions permitted 59–86°F (15–30°C). Protect from light.

• Regulatory: Prescription required; federal law restricts this drug to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian.
