Drontal Plus is a prescription broad-spectrum dewormer for dogs, combining praziquantel, pyrantel pamoate, and febantel in a palatable chewable tablet. It is highly effective in eliminating a wide range of intestinal parasites, including tapeworms, hookworms, roundworms (ascarids), and whipworms. The larger 136 mg tablets are scored for convenient dosing, making administration easier for dogs of various sizes.

• Indication (Dogs):

  • Removal of tapeworms: Dipylidium caninum, Taenia pisiformis, Echinococcus granulosus; control of Echinococcus multilocularis.

  • Removal of hookworms: Ancylostoma caninum, Uncinaria stenocephala.

  • Removal of roundworms (ascarids): Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina.

  • Removal of whipworms: Trichuris vulpis.

• Use Only Under Vet Supervision: Must be prescribed by a veterinarian. Accurate weight measurement and fecal testing are recommended prior to treatment. Retreatment may be required in environments where reinfection is common, especially for tapeworms associated with flea infestations.

• Contraindications/Cautions: Do not use in pregnant dogs. Strict hygiene precautions should be followed when handling feces from treated animals, particularly with Echinococcus multilocularis due to public health risk.
