Rx Vetmedin 2.5 mg x 50 tablet
Vetmedin (pimobendan) is prescribed for the treatment of congestive heart failure (CHF) in dogs. As an inodilator, Vetmedin works by both dilating blood vessels and strengthening the heart muscle. This dual action reduces the workload on the heart while improving pumping efficiency. Clinical studies have shown that Vetmedin can significantly improve quality of life and extend survival time in dogs with CHF caused by myxomatous mitral valve disease (MMVD) or dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM).
