Rimadyl (carprofen) is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used in dogs for the relief of pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis and for the control of postoperative pain following soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries.

• Directions: Administer orally at 2 mg per lb. of body weight daily (either as a single 2 mg/lb. dose once daily or divided as 1 mg/lb. twice daily). For postoperative pain, administer ~2 hours before surgery. Chewables are scored for half-tablet dosing; ensure full dose is consumed.

• Ingredients: Carprofen 100 mg (per chewable tablet).

• Storage: Store at 59–86°F (15–30°C).

• Regulatory: Prescription required; federal law restricts this drug to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian.
