POSATEX® Otic Suspension is a prescription medication indicated for the treatment of otitis externa in dogs caused by susceptible strains of yeast (Malassezia pachydermatis) and bacteria (coagulase-positive staphylococci, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Enterococcus faecalis).

• Indication (Dogs): Treats ear infections caused by susceptible bacteria and yeast.

• Feline Safety: Not for use in cats.

• Use Only Under Vet Supervision:

  • Federal law restricts this drug to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian.

  • Federal law prohibits the extralabel use of this drug in food-producing animals.

  • Do not administer orally.

  • Discontinue immediately if hearing loss occurs.

• Contraindications/Cautions: Not for use in humans. Keep out of reach of children and animals.

• Dosage:

  • Dogs < 30 lbs.: Instill 4 drops once daily into the ear canal.

  • Dogs ≥ 30 lbs.: Instill 8 drops once daily into the ear canal.

  • Continue therapy for 7 consecutive days. Shake well before use.

• Storage: Store between 2°–30°C (35.6°–86°F).

• Regulatory: Prescription required; federal law restricts this drug to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian.
