Iverhart Max Soft Chew is a triple-action heartworm preventative and dewormer for large dogs. Each pork-flavored soft chew combines ivermectin, pyrantel pamoate, and praziquantel to protect against heartworm disease and to treat and control roundworms, hookworms, and tapeworms.

• Strength & Count: 272 mcg ivermectin / 228 mg pyrantel pamoate / 228 mg praziquantel; 6 soft chews (6-month supply).

• Class: Antiparasitic (heartworm preventive + intestinal dewormer).

• Indication (Dogs):

  • Heartworm Prevention: Eliminates tissue-stage larvae of Dirofilaria immitis (not effective against adult heartworms).

  • Intestinal Parasites:

    • Roundworms: Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina

    • Hookworms: Ancylostoma caninum, Uncinaria stenocephala, Ancylostoma braziliense

    • Tapeworms: Dipylidium caninum, Taenia pisiformis

• Age/Weight Requirements: For dogs 8 weeks of age and older, weighing 50.1–100 lbs. Dogs over 100 lbs. should receive the appropriate combination of chews.

• Flavor: Soft, pork-flavored chewable for easy administration.

• Use Only Under Vet Supervision: All dogs should be tested for existing heartworm infections prior to starting. Not for use in cats or other species.

• Contraindications/Cautions:

  • Not for use in dogs under 10 lbs.

  • Safety not established in pregnant or lactating females.

  • Use with caution in Collies and herding breeds sensitive to ivermectin.

• Possible Side Effects: Vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, and hypersalivation have been reported in rare cases.

• Storage: Store at 68–77°F (20–25°C). Protect from light. Remove only one chew at a time from the package.

• Regulatory: Prescription required; federal law restricts this drug to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian.
