Barrier® (imidacloprid & moxidectin) is a topical parasiticide solution for dogs, designed as a full-line comparison to Advantage Multi® (sold separately). This monthly heartworm, flea, mange, and parasite preventative is recommended for dogs 7 weeks of age and older, weighing 3–9 lbs. Barrier® prevents heartworm disease caused by Dirofilaria immitis, treats circulating microfilariae in heartworm-positive dogs, kills adult fleas, treats flea infestations, and controls sarcoptic mange, hookworms, roundworms, and whipworms. The convenient twist-to-open design makes each application quick and easy.

• Indication (Dogs):

  • Prevents heartworm disease (Dirofilaria immitis)

  • Treats circulating microfilariae in heartworm-positive dogs

  • Kills adult fleas (Ctenocephalides felis) and treats flea infestations

  • Treats and controls sarcoptic mange (Sarcoptes scabiei var. canis)

  • Treats and controls intestinal hookworms (Ancylostoma caninum, Uncinaria stenocephala)

  • Treats and controls roundworms (Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina)

  • Treats and controls whipworms (Trichuris vulpis)

• Canine Safety: Safe for dogs weighing 3–9 lbs. and at least 7 weeks of age. Do not use in sick, debilitated, or underweight dogs. Safety not established in breeding, pregnant, or lactating dogs.

• Breed Sensitivity Warning: Some dogs, particularly Collies and Collie crosses, may carry the MDR1 gene mutation, making them more sensitive to avermectins. Ingestion can cause serious adverse reactions including depression, salivation, dilated pupils, incoordination, panting, muscle tremors, coma, or death. Separate treated dogs for 30 minutes after application to prevent licking.

• Use Only Under Vet Supervision: Administer only as directed by your veterinarian. Use with caution in sick, debilitated, or underweight animals.

• Contraindications/Cautions: Not for use in dogs under 7 weeks of age or less than 3 lbs. Do not use in Class 4 heartworm disease. Avoid oral ingestion.

• Storage: Store at controlled room temperature between 39°F–77°F (4°C–25°C). Protect from light.

• Regulatory: Prescription required; federal law restricts this drug to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian.
