Apoquel Chewable is an oral allergy medication for dogs that works differently than steroids, antihistamines, or cyclosporines. Active Ingredient (per chew): Oclacitinib 5.4 mg
Dosing & Administration:
Administer orally as directed by your veterinarian. Recommended dosage is 0.18 to 0.27 mg/lb (0.4 to 0.6 mg/kg) body weight. May be given with or without food.
Storage & Handling:
Store at 68° to 77°F (20° to 25°C), with excursions permitted between 59° to 104°F (15° to 40°C).
Cautions/Warnings:
IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION: Do not use Apoquel Chewable in dogs less than 12 months of age or those with serious infections. Apoquel may increase the risk of serious infections and may worsen existing parasitic infestations or pre-existing cancers. New neoplastic conditions (benign and malignant) have been observed. Do not use in breeding, pregnant, or lactating dogs. The most common side effects are vomiting and diarrhea. Use with caution when combining with other medications; consult your veterinarian.

New neoplastic conditions (benign and malignant) were observed in clinical studies and post-approval. APOQUEL CHEWABLE has not been tested in dogs receiving some medications including some commonly used to treat skin conditions such as corticosteroids and cyclosporines. Do not use in breeding, pregnant, or lactating dogs. Most common side effects are vomiting and diarrhea.
